Europe bakes in new heatwave
The old continent is enduring soaring temperatures

How hot is it in Europe right now? Very, very hot. High temperatures are expected during summer, and while temperatures this high are not uncommon, they certainly pose a number of health and environmental risks. Heatwaves are indeed known to claim lives every year and contribute to the proliferation of devastating wildfires. High temperatures do put people, animals, and forests at risk.
Western Europe in particular, is being hit by yet another heatwave. Paris saw the thermometers rise up to 42.6°C, (108.7°F), while the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands saw temperatures ranging from 38.1°C (100.58°F) to 41.8°C (107.24°F).
During this heatwave many people looked for the best way to cool off. From beaches, to pools, and public fountains, locals and tourists alike explored every possible way to stay cool during the extreme heat.
