Spike Lee is one of cinema's most gifted film directors. He's also one of its most controversial. Over the years his work has received numerous accolades, but a coveted Oscar has so far eluded him (he was awarded an Academy Honorary Award in 2015). But all this could change with his latest film 'BlacKkKlansman,' which has been nominated in six categories at the 91st Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor.
