This season of Australian 'Bachelor' brought out all of the drama, and audiences couldn't help but obsess over every insult and aggressive advance. After all, is said and done, and the roses are collected, how real was the reality TV show?
Cat Henesy, Romy Poulier, and Alisha Aitken-Radburn interviewed with News.com.au about the season, revealing that what viewers saw wasn't the full picture.
“I have so much more to offer with my personality and they’ve just humiliated me,” Henesy explained, accusing the show's producers of only showing snippets of conversations to make her look bad.
“I kind of regret having such an opinion,” Poulier said. “I feel like at times we were a little manipulated to feel comfortable enough to give our opinion, which is then being taken out of context, twisted, and turned and built into this incredibly b****y storyline.”
Being framed as the show's "villains" the reality stars have received overwhelming backlash from audiences and online harassment. Aitken-Radburn said, “I just think it is very, very, disproportionate. I just don’t know what any of us have done on the show to warrant that abuse.”
'The Bachelor' continues next Wednesday on Channel 10.
