'Never Look Away': Germany's entry for the Oscars
- The German film 'Never Look Away,' directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography at the 2019 Oscars. Back in 2007, Henckel von Donnersmarck was honored with the highest award in the film industry for his film, 'The Lives of Others.' His new movie made headlines in the news, as it's based on the biography of the German painter Gerhard Richter— though it was controversially made without his permission, and the artist himself has called the depiction false.
