Daniela Vega: the transgender actress who's taking Hollywood by storm - This year's Oscars will certainly go down in the history books. Not only was it the first year that a woman was nominated for Best Cinematography (Rachel Morrison), but the first time that one individual was nominated for both songwriting and acting (Mary J. Bilge), and the first time a trans actress, Daniela Vega, presented an award at the illustrious Hollywood ceremony.

In fact, not only did Vega make history when she stepped out onto the stage at the Dolby Theater on Oscars night, her movie 'A Fantastic Woman' was also victorious in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
